Migration to Istanbul

book introduction:

The book Migration to Istanbul is about Benyamin Rezaei‘s migration to the city of Istanbul. Within 3 days, he decided to migrate to Istanbul, Turkey. What you read in the book is the narration of the bitter and sweet events of this adventurous trip.

Part of the book:

The seventh part (emigration to Istanbul)

It is the beginning of my work and I have to work hard, not complain and do whatever they say! And I like to do my job well, when you live in Istanbul you have no place to be lazy…especially if you work in a company that some of your compatriots want.

They stab you from behind and make you progress, and I experienced this issue in many companies I worked abroad! Day by day, my experiences increased, I found new friends, I discovered new places.

Tracy is going to come to Istanbul in a few months and I have promised that my English will improve by then…I work during the day and attend English classes at night…

And every day I go to the internet cafe near my place hoping to get an email from Tracy…

My roommate Amin works in a restaurant and is from Erzurum, Turkey. He has been in Japan for several years and has experience, which helps me in some things… I have to go back to Iran to enter and exit! It’s winter, I’m taking a week off and I borrowed 100 dollars from Amin… I sat on the bus for 40 hours… I saw my family and I wrote on the cement wall of the place with chalk.

I never forget you Tracey (and this writing was on the cement wall for years)

And I’ll get back on the bus, 40 hours later… and I’ll look at the roads, mountains, forests from behind the glass, and I’ll be happy with the few photos I have with Tracy in my mobile phone, and I’ll shorten the way with the music of Siavash and Ebi…

I will continue to work; the situation is a little better.

Here, every Iranian has his own story for immigration! One has come to live! Someone has come to escape to Europe! One has become a refugee! Someone has embezzled money! One is smuggling his money! One is studying, and one has become Reza Zarrab (Ebru Gündeş’s husband) and one confuses here with Thailand and is being ripped off! And some are for work and experience… Now I don’t know which category I am in… but I know this, Turkey is the private life of our Iranians!! Anyone, no matter what they do, Turkey will be their first escape destination!

And every day, the number of Iranians who pass through the mirage of life in Turkey increases and increases…

Everything was going well until I received an email.

Migration to Istanbul (part 8)

When you immigrate to another country, you are exactly like a one-year-old child who knows nine languages! No, you have a job! You don’t know anything about the culture of that country, and you don’t have a friend to sit down and share your heart with. you are a stranger…
My happiness is only the e-mails I receive from Tracy. Every e-mail Tracy sends me, I print it and translate it for myself in my language, and I made a collection of them for myself. I have marked it with the date and day. Tracy is back in China and working…
.
You can’t trust three things in Istanbul! The first is the weather, the second is the traffic, and the third… (guess yourself) you have no job security in Istanbul under any circumstances! And having a business stay is considered a class among Iranians! Many times, I saw Iranians at the airport who harassed their countrymen who did not have a work permit and threatened to deport them because they had a work permit!
Everything was going well until Nowruz Eid approached, the number of colleagues and the number of Iranian travelers increased, and the tourist companies, in order to empty the pockets of Iranians with low-quality services, gave us training on how we can sell tours so that their pockets are filled! And anyone who did not do this job well, the way out was waiting for him. Eid came, and jealousies, slanderers and undermining in the company increased…
Some people have to do a series of things in order to prove their position…Eid ended, the passengers returned and half of the employees were fired, and my name was also on the fired list…The director of the Turkish personal collection named Bakhtiar Hoja, who is in this and had seen the work of the desert wolf and was a little cruel! He hits my left shoulder and says go and rest!
I handed over my luggage and suit to the company and walked on the cobblestones of Istanbul with heavy hatred and blasphemed the earth and time.

Damn Barcelona!

It is still hard for me to believe that I arrived in Barcelona with an Iranian car, but this is a fact, which came from self-belief! While standing in the middle of the square behind the red light and watching people pass by on the pedestrian lane, I hit my palm on Ranger’s chest and say, “You’re hot, Ranger, you’re hot.” Daman Hostel World application (hostel world) Hostels are always on my travel list and I have tried many hostels in different parts of the world, they are cheap shared rooms with capacities of 4, 6, 8, 12 people, which are always my choice. I have 6-bed rooms and I found a hostel on Garcia Street, which is one of the best streets in Barcelona, for 19 euros with breakfast. I take it and leave myself under the hot Barcelona water and take a short nap.
Spain is a cheaper country than France, especially at the end of summer, when most stores have 60% off sales, I entered one of the 60% off sales stores called Primark and bought 3 t-shirts with different colors for 10 euros, and then a cheap hair salon. I find a price that the repair price is 5 euros! I decide to be stylish and fast in Barcelona, and of course it costs a little bit. I enter the barber shop and show the photo of Lionel Messi to the barber, who is an Arabic-speaking boy, and after 5 minutes, the haircut is over, I look at myself in the mirror and see that I’ve become like a grazing cow and look at Messi’s photo and look at the hairdresser! And the one who saw my surprise says with a smile, “Amigo this is new model!” I say in my heart, damn your new model! In short, with the new hairstyle and a new t-shirt, I cleaned myself up and didn’t take it too hard and entered the busy and famous Rambla street, which is the best tourist place in Barcelona.

Mrs. Schneider and World War II

The house where I live is located in a very quiet area and it is full of trees where the birds are singing from morning to night. Every day I go for a bike ride around the house and try to pedal the negative energies. enter the bike and get positive energy from nature.

And the hours when I ride my two-wheeler are known, and every day I have to walk across the street to reach the park at the end of the street, and I mostly see an old lady with brown hair sitting on the park bench, and sometimes we meet each other. We say guten tag (good day)

After seeing the old lady yesterday, I go ahead with a big smile on my face and introduce myself:

Ish Bin Benjamin

Ich bin Benjamin aus dem Iran (I am Benjamin from Iran)

And she speaks to me in English with a very beautiful accent and tells me about her past and the things she has done and she has worked in the post office for most of her life and that’s why she complains about the way the post office works now! Ms. Schneider is 82 years old, but she is smarter than me!

When I tell her about myself and my travels, I see that her eyebrows close to her brown hair and she says, did you go to Berlin?

I say yes 3 times?

She says: Fortunately, I haven’t managed to see Berlin yet and I only saw Berlin on TV! I ask why! what’s the reason! Berlin, which is only 6 hours from here?

She says: When I was 8 years old, we lived near the city of Cologne, and I remember World War II. My mother planted potatoes in the agricultural fields during the day, and at night she was by my side in the shelter made of cold concrete. When the war ended, my father who was a soldier in Berlin was killed, and my mother, besides planting potatoes in the agricultural fields, was rebuilding the houses of the war victims, that’s why my life and my family passed in this area, and because I don’t want to relive the war scenes in my mind, I didn’t want to I will go to Berlin… I look at Mrs. Schneider and find a piece of paper from my backpack and draw on the paper the museums and important buildings of Berlin and river and explain to her about Berlin, which has now become the city of 72 nations and… Mrs. Schneider is very enthusiastic. She does and smiles.

The next day, I see Mrs. Schneider again on the same bench, pointing at me with her hand and giving me chocolate, and thanking me for the information about Berlin.
